The two biggest problems in America
are making ends meet and making meetings end.

Happy days my fellow Americans,

This time of year I always get so sentimental about being an American. Having the freedoms that so many other countries can only envy. But then again, they end up moving here and causing us to create more laws, rules, don't do this don't do that, don't say this don't say that. I'm not prejudice but just feel that if you want to be an American, learn OUR culture, our language, and our ways. BE AN AMERICAN! My ancestors came here from germany on one side and Ireland on the other. They became Americans. They didn't forget or alienate their past, they chose to become American. They learned our language, our culture, our ways, and made the Pledge.

Now we're dealing with removing "Under God" from the Pledge of Allegiance. How appalling! I realize this opens a huge can of worms that I'll keep closed, we all know there are people out there with entirely too much time on there hands trying to find ways to become "famous" or get their name in the spot light. You know what? Do something GREAT, people will remember you.

Is it right that we should have to learn others' languages. Should these folks wanting to be a part of such a great country be required to adapt to our culture instead of us adapting to their culture? I am PROUD to be an American, PROUD to be an American! That is so easy to say, and feels so powerful.

Be Proud to be an American.

In the past week I heard two very powerful comments regarding the Pledge of Allegience. One came from Red Skelton, the other from Ted Nugent. I only wished I could find their comments to share them with you. So powerful, so meaningful, maybe a few of you heard those comments. If so, I know you were moved by them (Ted Nugent a bit more opinionated).

..... (deep breath) ......

Okay, back to the "news".

After today, it's vacation until the 14th. It's what our family has done over the past 30 years. We're all together, camping at the same lake, the same campground, doing the same things. Sharing quality time with our families, great friends who have joined us over the years, laughs, games, stories, BS so deep you'll never get to the bottom of it, music by the campfire, and the most beautiful sunsets you've ever seen (stop by our office, we've got some great photos on the wall).

Best of all,,,, it's the memories. The memories created and memories relived. I am so truly blessed to be part of such a great caring, loving family, and group of friends. For any of you who know Mom and Dad,, that's where it all started.

Let bygones be bygones, spend time with your family and friends this 4th of July, our Independence Day. Laugh, share, extend a hand, offer a smile, and most of all,

Be Proud to be an American!

Be safe everyone, sit back and watch the kids. They're the ones that bring us joy,,, offer them happiness, make them smile!

We'll be back on the road in August, I'll update you upon our return.
