What happened last week? (...or rather, month!)
Well Spank Me!!! That would cover 2 things; 1) not getting this newsletter out in almost 2 months, and 2) it's my 43rd birthday this coming Saturday.
We've had a good time playing at the "Friday Nights Live" Concert Series @
South Pointe Pavillions in Lincoln, NE. If you missed it, we will be there next year, come on out, it's a great time.
Our debut at the Bluffs Run Casino in Council Bluffs, IA on the 26th & 27th of August was a great success, we will be there again in January and February of 2004, so be sure to check out our schedule that's posted on the web site.
While you're at it forward on out to September, and make plans to join Keith Wilson and me in St. Louis for the 2004 International Steel Guitar Convention. There is no way to describe this event, you have to experience it yourself! Meet me in St Louis! Keith and I had a great time, if you're a musician, you need to go to this at least once in your lifetime, you'll never want to miss another, guaranteed!
We always have a great time in Kearney at the Phoenix Club. Fergie and the gang, always treat us like family, and we love this partying place. Thanks to all of the Lincoln Road Trippers!
We also had a great time playing at the Omaha Qwest Convention Center for the River City Roundup's last day. We played in a tent out in one of the parking lots, not a very big turn out, but still fun. Thanks to you who came out! We'll look forward to playing inside next year!!!! Right?, Right!
What's coming up?
Well, in addition to what I mentioned in the above topic... Whoa! Look Out!! Man, do we have a some surprises coming up! This weekend, starting before the weekend, Thursday night, come on out and party hearty and howl to the moon with us at Coyote Willy's!!! We'll have a very special guest out for your entertainment pleasure one of those nights, so get out there early every night and stay late, so you don't miss anything.
For you folks in St. Joseph that are still hangin' on to any hopes that we'd be back out to party with you at the Buffalo Bar... well wait no longer, October 10th and 11th we are a'comin'!!!
Partying with Fergie again the weekend after that.
I'll try my best to get this newsletter out more often, to let you know ahead of time what is going on with the TCLB! Keith McGinnis, maybe I can get you to take this duty back, let's take a vote out at Coyote's, that'll be another reason to come out! See Ya!
John's Jolt For The Week
I've outdone anyone you can name -- Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Strauss. Irving Berlin, he wrote 1,001 tunes. I wrote 5,500.
