What's happened lately?
We had an AWESOME time at Coyote Willys all weekend long. If you missed any of it, especially the Dierks Bentley Show, we're extremely sorry! Thanks Uncle Ron and Bonnie for yet another incredible weekend! The sound was awesome, so I'm told, it was great on stage, I know that fer sure! Of course I get to sit next to the "Man", Keith Wilson! So, there's no way I can have anything but a great time! Go on out to Coyote Willys this weekend to see the Regulators.
What's coming up?

Well, until we see you at the Country Rose in North Platte on the 16th and 17th of January 2004, I probably won't see you, but I want to wish you and your special ones a very merry Christmas and holiday season. I'm including Keith McGinnis' Christmas newsletter below, in case you missed it. Thanks Keith, you do have a way with words!

Keith McGinnis' Letter

Hey City Limit Faithful's!

I'm kinda goin behind John's back and John, I hope you don't mind. I was just wanting to pass on a few Christmas thoughts to so many of you I've known, and to all of you who've supported my brother Steve and the entire City Limit Family. I love Christmas time, it's all about giving,,, not just presents, but love, friendship, smiles, forgiveness, and the list goes on. So I wanted to share my thoughts this Christmas season:

Merry Christmas!

It's odd how this year I very seldom have heard "Merry Christmas!" from anyone. Store clerks, bank tellers, most everyone in general. Is it just me or are people just not in the Christmas spirit yet? Merry Christmas! It has a jovial ring to it doesn't it? Merry Christmas! Yeah, kinda gives you a good feeling inside just to say it,,, Merry Christmas you say? Kinda also gives me a warm fuzzy inside to hear someone else say it..

Are we all in the Christmas Spirit?

Let's put all the trash behind us,,, the bad news, the negative thoughts, the fear of terrorism, who did what to whom, and so on and so on... Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas,,, to you,,, and to you,, and you,,, and yes to you too! Ahhhh, that felt really good, I'm gonna do it a lot more over the next several days,,, it'll be past us before long and I don't want to miss out on having someone hear it, and then to see the smile that follows.

And of course it's nice receiving a gift, and although money is tight right now the feeling I get when I'm standing in line with gifts I've purchased for other people is just downright a good feeling. I too wish I had more money to buy more things or nicer things for more people, but I also know it's the thought that counts.... Save your money, for something nice for you or for someone who really needs something they don't have,,, just look me in the eye and say,,, Merry Christmas Keith! Shake my hand,,, give me a hug,, tell me Merry Christmas and have it come from the heart..

That in itself will truly be a gift, a gift that warms the heart more than money spent. And you know what,,, it's a gift that goes both ways.

We both feel the warmth,,,, the true spirit of Chrstmas!

So to all of you,

Merry Christmas!

Say it with me,,, Merry Christmas!

Now go to your family,,, each of them,,, give 'em that hug that says I really love you, ask for their forgiveness. Then take a step back, look 'em in the eye and say "Merry Christmas". Tell me that's not powerful.

There's no better time than now,, before the Christmas season has passed. Make the effort,,, and feel the reward!

May 2004 be the year your goals are reached, you find true love, and your dreams come true.

Take care y'all, and Merry Christmas!

Keith McGinnis

PS - To the band; Steve McGinnis, Steve Bruggeman, Gene Davis, John Spooner, and Keith Wilson: I miss you all and Merry Christmas to you and your's!
